I love meals that can be prepared ahead of time and then thrown together at the last minute. I am also a big fan of pizza but hate the cost associated with buying delivery! This weekend I threw together a great pizza in just a few minutes with the help of Tavern Direct's Toscana Garlic Parmesan Marinade. This is the first of many recipes I will be bringing you using Tavern Direct products since I have been lucky enough to be chosen as one of their select bloggers! I hope you check out their site and try some of their gourmet marinades and sauces! I love that for every product you purchase from TavernDirect.com, they'll make a donation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. This is a company with a great selection of products that provides support for a wonderful program to help keep kids safe! The Toscana Garlic Parmesan Marinade is a blend of olive oil, garlic, Parmesan cheese, lemon, and spices and it had a wonderful flavor in this dish! It is both Kosher and gluten free! Tavern Direct has a number of flavorful recipes to choose from if you need further inspiration in your kitchen! I like to use Naan (an Indian flatbread) for pizza crust but you can make your own dough or buy premade, whichever you prefer.
Toscana White Pizza with Grilled Chicken
4 pieces of Naan
3 cups shredded cheese (I prefer a combination of feta, asiago, Parmesan, mozzarella, etc)
3/4 pound boneless skinless chicken breast
1 cup diced bell pepper
1 cup diced onion
3/4 cup Tavern Direct Toscana Marinade and Sauce
1. Marinate the chicken breast in 1/2 cup of Tavern Direct Toscana Marinade and Sauce for about an hour in the fridge
2. Preheat a pizza stone in a 450 degree oven for about 10-15 minutes
3. Grill the chicken over medium heat until done (juices will run clear) You can do this step ahead of time and throw the chicken in the fridge for a quick week night meal!
4. Slice the chicken breast into thin pieces
5. Brush each piece of naan with the Tavern Direct Toscana Marinade and Sauce. You will need about 1/4 cup or less for this step.
6. Top each piece of naan with some cheese, then the chicken, peppers and onions, then a little bit more cheese.
7. Bake pizzas in a 450 degree oven on a pizza stone about 10-12 minutes or until melted and lightly browned.
8. Slice into pieces and enjoy!

Wow now I'm really hungry! My kids would love this!
Great recipe. I wonder how this marinade would work on a white pizza (cheese, broccoli, spinach)? I bet it would be yummy, and muc healthier than a lot of oil/butter.
that looks yummy and healthy
