So, what types of things will you find in a subscription of NatureBox? Each month, your box will include 12 to 15 servings across 4 to 5 different NatureBox snacks. They will be made from the most wholesome ingredients and will be minimally processed, if at all. The products include things like whole grain granolas, dried fruits, trail mixes, and raw fruit and nut bars. What will you NOT find in these snacks?
They contain NO:
- High Fructose Corn Syrup
- Partially Hydrogenated Oils
- Trans fats
- Artificial sweeteners
- Artificial colors
- Artificial Flavors
I received the March NatureBox for review and the focus of this month’s selection was Healthy Swaps. The goal is to introduce you to products that are more nutritious alternatives to some of the snacks that you might be eating. What did March’s box contain?
NatureBox Sunshine Chips: a rainbow of vegetables such as sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, taro and green beans as a crispy snack that’s hard to resist.
NatureBox Firecrakers made from rice and lightly flavored with soy sauce, garlic and paprika
NatureBox Nuts for Granola high in fiber and protein to give your snack or meal real staying power.
NatureBox Dried Cherries not-too-sweet and not-too-tart dried cherries.
NatureBox Figgy Bars with Honey low in fat and sweetened with fruit and honey won’t spike your blood sugar or leave you feeling sluggish from too many processed ingredients.
The box came with a chart showing how to swap your unhealthy snack selections for the natural snacks in Naturebox.
So, my opinion? I loved all of the snacks included in this month’s box. The dried cherries were plump, moist and chewy with a wonderful sweetness to them. The Sunshine Chips were amazingly crunchy and you could really taste the underlying flavors of the vegetables with just a hint of salt. The Firecrackers where crispy and light, although I really expected a bit more of a bite to them. I like rather spicy foods, though! These were a tad too mild for me but still tasty. The granola makes a great breakfast cereal as is or you can add it to yogurt to give it a bit of crunch. My all time favorite, though, had to be the Figgy Bars. So moist and sweet with a great flavor of fig. They tasted similar to your store brand fig bars but moister and the outer bar has much more flavor.
