How many times have you gone to the store and purchased a product that you have never tried before only to get home and realize you don’t like it? I hate to spend good money on an item and then find out I don’t care for how it works, smells, lathers, or tastes! Well, in your search for greener products, Conscious Box is a great alternative to buying full size products before you know if you like them. If you are not familiar with Conscious Box, here is some information about them from their website:
Conscious Box is dedicated to introducing you to the most ethical, sustainable, and honest businesses that create the purest products available. We scour the marketplace to find those that stand above the rest. Discovery defines the Conscious Box experience.
Conscious Box is a great way to explore green products you may never have even known existed. Their packaging uses 100% post-consumer recycled cardboard, recycled tissue paper, and vegetable-based inks for printing. The samples you receive are 100% vegetarian, plus the majority of the products you’ll receive every month are also vegan. None of them have been tested on animals. They also work with 1% for the Planet to make sure every purchase goes to a green cause.
Conscious Box July
Each month’s samples revolve around a ‘theme’. In July’s Conscious Box you’ll discover natural products that can help power you on the go, add a sweet surprise to your day, or give you an excuse to kick back and enjoy some peace & quiet.
So, my opinion of some of the samples I received this month? There are just too many samples to describe them all in detail but here are a few of the ones that I really enjoyed:
Sun Warrior Blend: This is a raw, plant based protein supplement. It is gluten free, soy free, dairy free, and non GMO. I received the vanilla flavor which I threw in a smoothie. I love the flavor and appreciate that it is soy free. So many of the vegan products are all soy based and too much soy isn’t a great idea, in my opinion.
St. Claire’s Organic Peppermints: These are USDA organic, allergen free and vegan herbal breath mints. They have a wonderful peppermint flavor but there is also a hint of the molasses underneath that make them very unique.
Aura Cacia aromatherapy products: LOVE the deck of cards that guides you through how to benefit from aromatherapy. Each card tells you about either a particular scent or a way to use aromatherapy in healing and relaxation. I also got a sweet orange aromatherapy oil that I loved.
The only thing in the box that I think wasn’t a big hit here was the GoGo Squeez applesauce. My kids are older (10 and 12) and it is just a little too smooth for their liking. I am sure someone with toddlers might have better results with it.
Overall, though, I really like the concept of the box. You will get the chance to try an assortment of products that you might otherwise never have considered buying. For someone looking to go green without wasting money on things they don’t like, I think this is a great option!
