Sun, Swimming, and Summer Fun with Snapple Iced Tea #Snapple5050

My kids have been off from school for two months now and I am pretty sure that 90% of those days have been rainy. Honestly, we have had so much rain the last couple of months that the garden is practically under water and the kids are going stir crazy. What happens when teenagers don’t get out of the house on a regular basis? They drive me nuts, that is what happens! I don’t want them plugged into their music and video games all day but the alternative is to have them bickering or constantly telling me how bored they are. So, when I got the chance to try out Snapple Iced Tea for a Collective Bias® project I decided we were heading to the pool, whether my kids had to swim in the rain or not! First stop was at Walmart to get a few summer fun essentials for our afternoon adventure.

Snapple Half and Half Iced Tea is a blend of 50% sweet tea and 50% lemonade. I put lemon in everything so adding it to Sweet Tea was a brilliant choice, in my opinion! Walmart had a great selection of Snapple beverages to try. There are single serve bottles, large jugs suitable for families, and multipacks of many different flavors. I love that Snapple Iced Tea is so affordable and from now through September you can get $1 off Snapple products from Walmart. The single bottles of Snapple were $1 each at Walmart but the 6 pack of Snapple Half and Half was only $4.98 so you are essentially getting one bottle FREE when you buy 5! When you go to print out your coupon, check out the “Snapple On-The-Go” photo contest, too!

Today’s journey is to the neighborhood pool but I will also be putting it in the cooler for tennis practice, day camp lunch boxes, dinner with friends and trips to the park with the kids. After grabbing the Snapple Half and Half, some appropriate pool snacks, sunscreen and pool toys we headed home to get ready for our afternoon of fun. Of course, it started raining on the way home but 30 minutes later the sun was out and we were packing a cooler full of Snapple!

One of the things I love about Snapple iced tea is that it is all natural with nothing artificial added. They use natural ingredients like real tea, actual lemon juice, and pure sugar as the sweetener. This is important to me and I have been a Snapple fan for quite some time. I am lucky they stock them in the cooler where I work! The Snapple Fun Facts under the lid are great conversation starters, too. Which Snapple Fun Fact did I get under my lid?

My daughter decided to invite a friend with us for our afternoon adventure and we actually ended up getting a few hours of sun that afternoon! I think Mother Nature knew how much we were needing some nice ripe watermelon and refreshing Snapple iced tea and decided to keep the clouds away!

If you are looking for a refreshing drink to quench your thirst this summer, Snapple Half and Half is a great choice. A wonderful balance between sweet tea and lemonade with just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely makes an afternoon at the pool a lot more enjoyable! You know what the BEST part about taking the kids to the pool to enjoy Snapple iced tea today was? I actually had some quiet time for just ME to relax, read, and recharge. Because I guarantee that Mother Nature is going to swoop in again soon and deliver more rain! Then, the kids will be back to arguing about who’s turn it is to choose the next TV show!

  1. I haven’t had a Snapple in a long time. I know they are good, I will have to pick some up the next time I’m at the store. They make a good alternative to soda.
