Georgia is known as the Peach State and if you have ever visited the Atlanta area you will know that dozens of streets in the area have the word ‘peach’ in them. You can get seriously lost and turned around if you confuse Peachtree Industrial Boulevard with Peachtree STREET. You will be driving around forever if you get your peaches confused in the GPS! Whether you get them at the farmer’s market or the grocery store, there is no shortage of peaches to be eaten around here, too. I decided to play around with a few ingredients in the house and create a heavenly and all natural peach milkshake for my kids and I tonight.

peach milk for peach milkshake recipe

The Peaches and Cream flavored milk from Promised Land Dairy is all natural with no artificial colors or flavors. The milk comes from cows raised on sustainable farms with the highest level of cow care and humane treatment. I added in organic vanilla from Nielsen-Massey and even used organic vanilla bean icecream. The end result was a Peach Milkshake that was rich and creamy with absolutely nothing artificial in it. I topped it off with homemade organic whipped cream which only takes about a minute to make in my KitchenAid Stand Mixer

    • Promised Land Dairy has an all natural chocolate milk, too and i am looking forward to trying a mint chocolate chip milkshake next! I would hate to be allergic to peaches!

  1. Could you share why you would start with a flavored/sweetened milk when you are adding real peaches and sugar anyway? I looked at the ingredients for the Peaches ‘n Cream and there are no actual peaches in the milk, only “natural” peach flavor plus other chemicals and sugar. Look up ‘natural flavors’ on wikipedia for an example what qualifies as a natural but disgusting source. Why not just use their regular milk and skip the extra chemicals?

    • You have a valid point, although I do buy a number of products with natural flavors in them While not always the perfect choice I find that compromise and occasional treats to be a perfectly fine choice. My kids enjoy flavored milks and I buy them occasionally so if you have it on hand, you can turn it into a delicious milkshake. Definitely a healthier choice than hitting the fast food drive through which is what my teens beg for on a regular basis.
