With the beginning of a new year comes a renewed desire to improve my health. The chaos of the holidays had me stopping for fast food, skipping meals and eating way too much junk food. Now that things are back to normal, I am determined to get back on track with my diet and exercise route. Sometimes I really want to buy a new product to try out but am not sure I will like it and am afraid to waste my money. Beginning in February, Vitacost will be offering a monthly subscription box of many natural and organic brands that will help people incorporate new products into their daily routine without wasting money on items they don’t like. Their new monthly subscription service is called the Be Well Box and I got the chance to try it out this month before it launches on the Vitacost website.
Vitacost.com has a large selection of health foods and snacks, bath and body products, natural household supplies, and baby care essentials. Of course, they also offer a ton of discount vitamins, minerals, herbs, sports nutrition supplements and many other nutritional items. Overall, they offer nearly 40,000 products that help you lead a healthier life. They also offer these products at a significant discount compared to retail prices.
Vitacost Be Well Box
The Be Well Box that I received had a nice selection of sample sized products for me to try out. There was Spry gum, a Vitacare toothpaste sample, blum naturals makeup wipes, Jadience herbal formula beauty products, Cosmiceutical Sciences Institute eye cream, Nature’s Answer Bio-Strath Liquid, and a liquid B complex. The Be Well Box subscription service will be offered for $13.99 and will be available beginning February 1st, 2013 with free shipping.
I was very happy with the quality of the products offered in the Be Well Box that I received from Vitacost. There was also a nice range of products, from edibles to vitamins to health and beauty. Some of them I definitely loved like the Spry gum, which is a great way to help keep your mouth clean when you are on the go. I wasn’t so fond of the Vitacare toothpaste only because it is a Key Lime flavor and I must admit, I am a traditionalist when it comes to needing mint in my toothpaste. For those of you who don’t like mint flavored toothpastes (or for kids!) the Vitacare toothpaste is definitely a great option. I really loved the Jadience Travel Kit of beauty supplies because you get to try out the entire line of products at once. There is an exfoliator, eye treatment, cleansing cream and several others with a total of 7 different products in all. You also get several uses out of each one, which helps you get a better idea of how the products work for your own skin type.
I definitely prefer the products that offer more than one use. It is hard to get a feel for an item if you can only use it one time, especially a vitamin supplement. Once dose might tell you if you like the flavor or if it upsets your stomach but not if if really works for your personal health needs. Many of the products in the Be Well Box offer several days or even a week of use but a couple of them were one time use samples. I didn’t find those quite as helpful but the box overall offers a nice selection of natural products that fit well into my lifestyle. If you are looking to get healthier in the new year, I think the Vitacost Be Well Box subscription would be a good place to start.
