October is breast cancer awareness month and I have had several friends and even a family member that has had to deal with this disease. It is something that has touched the lives of millions of women and I am sure most people know someone who has been effected one way or another. Look Good Feel Better is dedicated to improving the self-esteem and quality of life of people undergoing treatment for cancer. It is their aim to improve their self-image and appearance of women suffering through this by offering complimentary group, individual, and self-help beauty sessions. It is their hope to create a sense of support, confidence, courage, and community that will benefit breast cancer patients.

Look Good Feel Better workshops help people with cancer to deal with the devastating outward side effects of their treatment. It helps them to regain their self-confidence and focus their energy not on being a cancer patient, but on becoming a cancer survivor. This is a mission so many breast cancer patients should know about!
