My Review:

This cookbook is more than just a book full of recipes. It uses your smartphone and a free downloadable app to bring you a ton of additional information. First off, you don’t NEED the app to enjoy this cookbook. There are full color photographs on every page which I absolutely love! The recipes all come from popular magazines like Cooking Light, Southern Living and many others. They are nicely divided into categories like Starters, Soups, Seafood, Meatless Main Dishes, Deserts, etc. Pretty basic categories and there is an index in the back to search with as well. The recipes are categorized with symbols so you can decide right off if you want to try…things like grill it, 30 minutes or less, kid friendly, low calorie, etc. There are also helpful tips and ratings and comments about the recipe from readers on the website.

The Scan-it/Cook-It app is incredibly easy to use. Just download for free on your smartphone and scan a picture that has the logo in the cookbook. Most of them do so you don’t have to look hard. It scanned incredibly fast! As soon as the phone recognizes the pic, up pops all sorts of additional info….shopping lists, how to videos, and even more recipes.

Overall, I love the selection of recipes, am amazed at the photography and the easy to use app is like icing on the cake! I am going to have a blast trying out these recipes. I think the Zucchini Oven Chips are going to be a huge hit!
