Making a Bucket List for Long Term Goals #BufferinBucketList

I have always been a list making sort of girl. I make lists for the grocery store, lists of errands I need to run, and lists of things I want to accomplish for my blogs. Lists keep me organized, on task and help me achieve goals or just manage to make it through the grocery store without forgetting anything. Imagine my surprise when I got asked to make a bucket list for Bufferin and realized I have never made a bucket list! ME! The queen of list making has no list for long term goals I would like to achieve before I die. I find that completely shocking and rather unacceptable. How am I going to achieve my long term goals if I don’t write them down somewhere? I HAVE long term goals….now I just needed to put them in writing. Where better to write down my bucket list items than on an actual bucket, right?

bucket list

My bucket list items are a wide range of things I could realistically do now, things I need way more time and money to do, and a few things that I probably WON’T do but I really want to. I really think everyone should have a bucket list. It can be a mix of realistic goals and total dreams that may never happen but that MIGHT if you are given just the right opportunity and support. As a mom, it is sometimes easy to put my kids goals (or my goals for THEM) in front of my own goals. That is sortof what being a mom is all about, right? But, there will come a time when my kids are grown and out of the house and if I don’t nurture and support my own dreams I am going to be a bit lost.

So, what sort of things did I put on my bucket list? Here are just a few of my goals….some I have achieved and some I am still working on!

  • Write a book
  • Take Cooking Classes
  • Travel to Ireland
  • Explore Martial Arts
  • Hike the Appalachian trail

So far, the martial arts is the only one I have crossed off my bucket list. I tried Judo in college but didn’t really care for it. 2 years of Tae Kwon Do with my son was fun, challenging, and a great way to bond with him. It also created a whole bunch of aches and pains that made the journey a bit more challenging. Bucket list items sometimes ask a lot of us both mentally and physically so having a product life Bufferin in the house can come in handy! My other bucket list items are either going to have to wait til I have more money or time but just you wait, I will be on the New York Times best seller list for sure! Okay, maybe I will just have an ebook on Amazon but hey, I am going to cross that one off my bucket list next!

    • I definitely add things to my mental bucket list regularly…now I can actually see them and try to cross a few more off the list!
