5 Natural Ways to Prevent Snoring

I am sharing these natural ways to prevent snoring as part of a sponsored post for Good Morning Snore Solution. I have been compensated through the SheSavvy Influence Network. All opinions remain my own.

My husband has always been a bit of a snorer. He’s not shaking the rooftops or anything, but I regularly have to elbow him to turn over in the middle of the night so that he quiets down.

I’m lucky that he responds rather well to my middle-of-the-night requests. My grandmother used to snore so loudly that you could hear her all the way across the house!

If you live with someone like this and need a good night’s sleep, here are a few natural ways to prevent snoring that might help. I will also share with you a unique product from Good Morning Snore Solution that may relieve your snoring problem.

5 Natural Ways to Prevent Snoring for a Quieter Night Sleep

Natural Ways to Prevent Snoring

There are many reasons why people snore. Some of those reasons are environmental, but some can be serious. If you or someone you love has a serious snoring problem, you may want to see a doctor to rule out any major medical problems.

If your doctor says there is nothing seriously wrong with you, try some of these natural ways to prevent snoring for a quieter night’s sleep!

Change Your Sleep Position

This is the method that most often works for my husband, but not always. He is a back sleeper, which tends to lead to snoring. Try changing your sleep position to help stop snoring.

This may not always be easy. Some people naturally revert to their preferred back sleeping position. Try investing in a body pillow and propping it up behind you to help keep you on your side.

Lose Weight

Some people tend to snore more when they gain weight. This isn’t always true, and skinny people snore too, but it may help reduce snoring if you lose some weight. Particularly if you never USED to snore but started once you put the weight on.

Conquer Allergens

Allergies can be a huge problem for some people and often make snoring worse. Put on a dust mask and run an air filter in the room while you get down to serious cleaning.

Buy some allergy-friendly pillows and put an allergy cover on your mattress. Clean the ceiling fan and remove potted plants that may contribute to mold allergies. Hopefully, reducing allergy symptoms may reduce snoring.

Avoid the Bedtime Cocktail

Drinking alcohol makes snoring worse. It has to do with the relaxation effect that alcohol has on the muscles at the back of your throat. Try doing an experiment where you skip the alcohol for a few days and see if the snoring improves.

  1. That snore solution looks good. I am definitely trying these ways out as sometimes (not always) when I’m tired I snore (my husband did record and made me hear it LOL).
