My husband and I are simple folks…we don’t spend a lot of money on fancy date nights and exotic destinations. We are happiest to be home on a Friday evening with a good bottle of wine and a few tasty snacks. I try hard to make sure that our snacks are at least SLIGHTLY on the healthy side so I don’t feel quite so guilty indulging myself occasionally. While chips might be tasty, they have a tendency to be rather high in fat! I was recently sent a selection of Pillsbury’s new Baguette Chips to try our and am happy to say that these are not just great for snacking but can also be tasty in soup or on top of a salad for a little added crunch!

With 130 calories per serving (21 baguette chips), and 50% less fat than regular potato chips, Pillsbury Baguette Chips are a great alternative in healthier snacking! it is also a great way to add a boost of flavor to an otherwise bland salad or bowl of soup. But, I admit I was happy to nibble on them straight out of the bag!
I received the baguette chips in both flavors: Cheddar and Sun Dried Tomato and Italian Cheese and Herb. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed both of these chips. They have a nice flavor and I really like that they are not overly salty. They are small enough so that you don’t have to worry about breaking them into pieces for your soup or salad.
