Every year I make about 30 to 40 pounds of homemade candy to give as gifts to teachers, family, friends, the busdriver and whoever shows up at my door unexpectedly. These Cherry Nut Truffles can be made from ingredients easily found at your local grocery store or craft store. I find that the Kitchenaid mixer and the dipping spoon are 2 must have tools but I am sure you could make do with a wooden spoon if you had to! I don’t actually have a double boiler as called for in the directions but use a stainless steel bowl over a pan of hot water. Either way, this is just a mix, chill, roll and dip recipe. Very easy!
