Turning the Clock Back is a site devoted to teaching people to go green, get healthy and simplify their lives one step at a time. So many people feel overwhelmed with choices when it comes to living a more eco-friendly life that they often give up without trying at all. I want people to realize that we need to take baby steps on the road to going green and getting healthy. I hope that Turning the Clock Back will bring its followers information regarding natural living, cooking from scratch, and spending quality time with family. I write a weekly (or almost weekly!) column called Think About This Thursday which spotlights issues concerning the environment that people may or may not be aware of yet.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology with a Minor in Health Management and Policy. After graduation, I spent many years working in cancer research, academics, and biotechnology. Concern over the growing incidence of human disease and the birth of my children led me to begin living a more natural life. I quickly realized that the information I was learning along the way could be beneficial to many others and started blogging as a way to share this knowledge with others. I am also a nationally certified Pharmacy Technician and served on the PTA board as chair for both the Environmental Committee and Science Night for 4 years each. I have been working as a professional blogger and social media consultant for the last 3 years.
I have written articles for or have been featured on several other websites including:

I have a chaotic life that includes work, husband, 2 kids, and more pets than I care to admit. I am passionate about the environment but refuse to give up my high tech toys. I spend way too much on organic milk and local, grass fed beef but have a horrible Cheeto addiction and get quite agitated when there is no more diet Coke in the house. I am trying to step back and simplify my life in the hopes of improving myself and the world around me. I hope you find Turning the Clock Back to be a down to earth guide to going green and getting healthy one baby step at a time.
