This is an amazingly easy recipe to make and all the ingredients are easy to find. They are definitely made MUCH easier if you have a Cuisinart food processor and a Kitchenaid mixer! You can adjust the amount of bourbon in your recipe a little bit, just adjust the amount of sweetened condensed milk to balance the liquid. You want the dough a little wet at first. As it sits, it firms up a bit!

My husband likes his bourbon balls to really scream WOW when he bites into it so these might be a little strong for your liking!

Kentucky Bourbon Balls
(makes about 5 dozen)

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup good bourbon
2 cups powdered sugar
3 cups crushed vanilla wafers (you want as fine a powder as you can get)
1/4 cup cocoa
1/3 cup (or more) sweetened condensed milk (enough to make a slightly wet but moldable dough)
melted dipping chocolate

Directions:

1. Soak the nuts in the bourbon 2 to 3 hours
2. Add remaining ingredients into mixing bowl and mix until well combined
3. Let sit in a covered bowl for 30 minutes or so to allow the flavors to blend and the dough to firm up
4. Roll into balls (1 1/2 inch wide or so)
5. Dip into melted chocolate and decorate as desired. Chopped nuts or candy writers work well!
