The kids are home for the summer and all I hear is ‘I’m hungry’ and ‘What can I have for a snack?’. I think my grocery bills have tripled since school let out! Since I don’t want them snacking on junk food all day I have been trying to make sure the pantry is loaded with healthy snacks. Of course, they are kids and are naturally drawn towards anything resembling a chip! I was sent a selection of Blue Diamond Baked Nut•Chips to try and they have been a big hit. I am sure you have seen other Blue Diamond products in the store but here is a little bit about the company if you aren’t familiar with them:
Blue Diamond® Growers is the world’s largest almond processing and marketing company. Founded in 1910, the 102 year-old cooperative is owned by half of the state’s almond growers who produce over 80 percent of the world almond supply. Blue Diamond® led the development of California’s almond industry from a minor domestic specialty crop to the world leader in almond production and marketing.
Blue Diamond offers a number of different products ranging from plain and flavored almonds to almond milk to their new Blue Diamond Baked Nut•Chips. Six of the Blue Diamond nut products have been certified by the American Heart Association as heart healthy foods.
The Blue Diamond Baked Nut•Chips come in three flavors: Nacho, Sour Cream and Chive and Sea Salt. The Sea Salt Baked Nut•Chips were selected as a winner in Clean Eating Magazine’s First Annual Foodie Awards. They have 3 grams of protein per serving, and contain no MSG, trans fats, or cholesterol. They are made with whole grain brown rice and almonds and are both vegan and gluten free.

So, my opinion: I really enjoyed all 3 varieties of the Blue Diamond Baked Nut Chips I was sent to review. They have a nice crunch and flavor. The seasonings on the chips are bold enough to be flavorful without hiding the slightly nutty taste of the chip itself. They are not coated so thickly that you end up with funky colored fingers when you are through eating, either. Of the 3 varieties, I think the Sour Cream and Chive was probably my favorite but I enjoyed all of them and so did my kids. They were thrilled when I told them they could have chips with their sandwiches for lunch! I felt better feeding them these chips knowing they are getting brown rice and nuts rather than some of the junk that is in traditional chips! Overall, if you are looking for a healthier snack, I think the Blue Diamond Baked Nut•Chips are a great choice.

I love Blue Diamond Nut Chips. The kids don’t like them as much as other types but that is because of the nutty flavor that I enjoy!
I’ve not heard of these tasty nut chips before but they do look delicious! Thank you so much for the introduction 🙂
I haven’t heard of a baked nut chip. I need them! Lol, my kids are chip eaters too, if I can fake them out with something more healthy, I’m all over it.
I love this brand but haven’t tried these so will look for them.
