Earth Day Books for Kids
Just in time for Earth Day, Be Cool, Follow Earth’s Rule by Penelope Ann Kysiak is a wonderful book to teach young children the importance of caring for our planet. The story starts in the garden as a little girl learns the importance of growing flowers and vegetables.
It discusses the concept of how certain plants keep away garden pests. She learns the importance of conserving water and electricity. At the end, she gives thanks to the Lord for providing all the natural wonders around her. The story is illustrated beautifully, with simple yet colorful drawings.
The book provides a message of hope that if we care for what God has given us, our planet WILL survive. This is a read to your child type book, not a chapter book.
