When I was growing up, my all time favorite dinner was Shake and Bake pork chops. Now that I am an adult, I must admit that I still love Shake and Bake pork chops but I really DON’T love wondering what’s in it. Since I am trying to reduce the number of processed foods I serve to my family, I decided to figure out how to make Shake and Bake pork chops without buying anything premade.
How to Make Home Made Shake and Bake for Meat
There are a lot of recipes online for home made Shake and Bake but they are all just a tad bit different. Basically, it all depends on your own personal taste preferences when it comes to flavors and seasonings. I chose the seasonings and amounts based on what I had in my pantry and I think it came out really great tasting.
The recipe below makes enough Shake and Bake seasoning to coat about 8 or more pork chops. If you want to make less than that just mix the dry ingredients together and save half in a zip to lock bag. You can add the oil to half the recipe and save the remainder for another night. Have you ever made home made Shake and Bake?
*Note: We get our pork from a local farmer and if you are concerned about animal welfare and the safety of the meat you feed your family I encourage you to check out Heritage Foods USA for sustainable pork.
