What’s in a name? No, TroyLa is not my name. It’s actually an amalgamation of my birth name and my fiance’s (who is also my business partner, best friend, biggest supporter etc.) name. It feels good to do what I love to do every day! After working in the television news industry for several years, being able to start my own candle business is truly a breath of fresh air!
Each Troyla candle is made with pure soy wax, no paraffin blends or other waxes. Each of their soy candles is hand poured and they use only lead-free cotton or paper wicks. Soy candles burn much cleaner and slower than traditional candles.

I finally chose the Lavender Mint and Sweet Grapefruit for my review items. The candles I chose were the 7.5 oz glass tumbler size. They come in a very sturdy glass container with a classy looking silver lid. I have honestly gotten 4 or 5 uses so far (about 4 hours each burn) and am not even half way through the candle. Within an hour of lighting it, I can smell the scent throughout several rooms…not overpowering, just a very fresh scent. I love both of the scents I chose. The grapefruit smell reminds me of summer and the lavender mint really has a perfect balance between the two scents. Not too floral but not overpoweringly minty, either. If you don’t care for either of these scents, Troyla has TONS more to choose from!
My thanks to TroyLa & Co. Candles and Goodies for allowing me to review their products. If you would like to learn more, you can check them out on Etsy!
