With the start of November comes the glut of holiday shopping…flashy newspaper inserts, sales fliers, and commercials about why we just HAVE to have a $10,000 diamond from our husbands.
Black Friday…the biggest shopping day of the year…will be here soon but I, for one, am NOT doing any shopping that day! Instead, I will be heading over to Stone Mountain Pecan Company on Small Business Saturday to show my support for the local Georgia economy! What better gift to give my family than some locally grown pecans…a gift they can EAT and the recycle the package it came in!
More than 200 organizations have already joined American Express OPEN, the company’s small business unit, in declaring the Saturday after Thanksgiving as Small Business Saturday.
The 2nd annual Small Business Saturday® is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year. On November 26,they are asking millions of Americans to shop small at their favorite local stores and help fuel the economy. When we all shop small, it will be huge.
