Southwestern Frittata Recipe and a Wholly Guacamole #Giveaway

This frittata recipe was sponsored by Wholly Guacamole but all opinions expressed here are my own.

I am always trying to find easy, quick, meatless meals that everyone in the family will eat. Eggs are one of our favorite non meat proteins but there are only so many ways you can serve them over the course of the month. This Southwestern Frittata recipe from chef Alex Thomopolous was incredibly easy to make and only took 30 minutes. If you like southwestern flavors like salsa and guacamole, this frittata recipe will be perfect for you!

Wholly Guacamole has been working with chefs Alex Thomopolous and Nathan Lippy to create some great videos on The Hungry Channel. What is The Hungry Channel? Basically, it is a food TV type show that is YouTube based. There are not only recipe creation demos but also some meet the chef videos, question and answer sessions and other behind the scenes stuff. Here is the video of Alex creating the Southwestern Frittata recipe shown above in case you want to see the process and how much nicer HER version looks than mine!

Frittata Recipe By Chef Alex

I am a huge fan of Wholly Guacamole and Wholly Salsa and I have showcased these products a number of times over the last year on my blog. What I really love about them is that they are completely natural. There is NOTHING artificial in them and the preserving process leaves them with tons of fresh flavor. There are also tons of different varieties to appeal to a wide range of taste buds. While I love the sweet/spicy flavor of the Mango Salsa, my husband is a traditionalist and prefers the regular variety…and the spicier the better! If you would like to see a few other creative ways to use salsa and guacamole in your recipes, check out Nathan Lippy’s Grilled Salmon with Mango/Pepper Salsa or these International Sliders.

  1. I like The Taco Bar, The Whooly Kitchen video. The taco buffet bar is a great idea so people can serve themselves and get what they want. 🙂

  2. I liked the Taco Bar video – I never thought of using guacamole as a mayo replacement, but I think that’s what I”m going to start doing.

  3. I liked the fridge makeover video-afterwards there is a link to a free coupon and a chance to win 250$ in groceries! Love it!!

  4. I like the Halloween Goodies. It looks like there are two videos… I like the one with ghost emerging from cauldron/monster faces.
