I have decided to spend a little time researching my options before buying our next car. I would love to find a reliable, eco-friendly option and there are so many new models entering the market lately. I recently received some information about the Mitsubishi i Electric car and honestly, don’t you just think it looks cool? Because, really, if I am going to be driving around town, I want to look good while I help save the planet, right?
According to the Mitsubishi i website, this is the most affordable electric vehicle in the entire United States! There are a ton of federal and state tax incentives out there right now, too, which makes this a great time to buy an electric car! So, here are a few statistics about the MiEV (as it is being called!).

- MiEV Remote Control: Pre-heat or pre-cool the cabin and set your preferred charging time from a distance.
- Rear-Wheel Drive: Improves handling and increases cabin space without sacrificing performance.
- Available HDD Navigation: Enjoy Real-Time Traffic, Diamond Lane Guidance, turn-by-turn directions and a rearview camera.
- Regenerative Brakes: A clever braking system automatically reclaims the energy from deceleration and charges the battery.

The Mitsubishi i is 100% electric so it will never burn a drop of gasoline or emit one single molecule of exhaust gas from its tailpipe…it doesn’t even HAVE a tailpipe! How cool is that? You will average about 62 miles per charge with this car. You have the option of charging from home, on the go at an appropriate public charging station or there is even a portable system that allows you to charge from any plug…this option isn’t as quick as the others but it is good to know you have it in case of emergencies!
So, you’re thinking this is a great-sounding car, aren’t you? If you want to check this car out in person, you have a couple of options! You can find a dealer in your area using their dealer locator. Or, if you live in the Pacific Northwest or California, you are in luck because the Mitsubishi i is going on tour in your area!
