As much as I hate to admit it, swimsuit season is fast approaching. For the last 2 years I have avoided actually swimming in our neighborhood pool because I do not have a bathing suit I LIKE. It has been easier to go without a new suit than to suffer through the process of shopping for one. Lately, it seems to be getting harder and harder to find a style that isn’t made for a barbie doll.
This year, I decided that I had put off the search long enough and started looking a little closer at what was available. I was under the assumption that all bathing suits today were made of standard synthetic materials (polyester, nylon, Lycra, etc). When I received a press release announcing an eco-friendly bathing suit company called Eco Swim I was intrigued! I never knew that such a thing existed! If you have never heard about Eco Swim, here is some information about them from their website:
Eco Swim by Aqua Green is where sustainability meets cutting edge design in the swim industry. Not only do we have a passion for preserving the environment through making our swimwear from sustainable materials but, we walk the walk by participating in beach and waterway clean ups to remove tons of trash from our oceans. Eco Swim by Aqua Green is a company that understands that happiness comes from the ability to follow your passions: great swimwear and building a better world.
In mind, body or soul, Aqua Green’s core customer is
18 – 48 years young. She shares in our vision to make the
earth a better place for the next generation. She knows that
changing the world starts with her actions so she recycles,
carries her own reusable tote to the grocery store and, if given
the choice between products of equal quality and style, she
will pay a bit more for the sustainable option. She is stylish,
active and cares about what she puts on and in her body. She
incorporates sustainable practices into her everyday life and
is teaching her children to do the same. She turns off the sink
when she brushes her teeth and may not own a hybrid car,
but wishes she did.

You look fantastic and WELL DONE for being brave enough to post swimsuit pics. I have an EcoSwim suit as well and LOVE it! I didn’t get the shorts, but will have to add that soon. I was at the paddling pool today and I don’t like parading around in a suit either. I hadn’t seen your style before, excellent coverage and good for running around after kids! I’m over at http://www.verybusymamablog.com * I’ll be posting something soon
I love that suit! That is exactly the kind I like to wear & you look great!
I love everything about this company and I haven’t even tried the swimsuits yet! Thanks for a thorough review; I’ll be checking them out now!
It looks cute and conservative (which isn’t a bad thing). I think you do just fine as a swimsuit model too.
Looks like you are totally ready to be poolside! Had never thought about whether my swimsuit was eco-friendly or not… I’ll definitely be paying more attention in the future…
I really like this swimsuit. The cargo shorts are my favorite!
Is it that time of year already?!
They have some really cute pieces.
You look great! I am in love with this company!!! Tanks for sharing!
I really like the suit you chose and I’ll check out the company as they have a variety of suits.
