The last month has been very stressful trying to get ready for the holidays. Every spare moment has been spent either working, shopping, or dealing with an unexpected crisis. There has been very little time for making sure my own needs have been met. I barely found time to eat this month, much less relax or pamper myself. Even finding time to shave my legs or enjoy a cup of tea was tough! But, now that the gifts are open, the parties are over and the baking is done, I can once again take care of ME. First thing on my to do list is to enjoy a hot shower with a homemade vanilla sugar scrub followed by a cup of Twinings tea and a good book!

I have a tea cabinet in my kitchen that is always fully stocked. I have found that every moment of every day calls for a different variety so I stock quite a few. Something minty and energizing in the morning, green tea in the afternoon, and something calming and herbal for right before bed. Twinings Tea recently sent me a huge assortment of their teas to try out and honestly, I was amazed at the variety! Whether you favor green, black, white, or herbal you will find just the right flavor for any time of day. They even have a great selection of organic and fair trade tea which I love!

The Twinings Chamomile, Honey and Vanilla tea was the perfect choice for today’s vanilla sugar scrub recipe. Using just a few simple ingredients, I created a wonderfully moisturizing sugar scrub that smells almost like cookie dough. People usually recognize chamomile for it’s relaxation properties when used in tea but it is also has anti inflammatory properties which make it the perfect ingredient to use in a sugar scrub.

No matter what flavors and aromas appeal to you in your tea, you will probably find a Twinings Tea that is perfect for every moment of your day. I have had quite a few different flavors and find myself most drawn to green teas like Green Tea with Jasmin and the herbal teas like Nightly Calm. Nightly Calm contains things like camomile, lemongrass, rosebuds and hawthorn berries to create a relaxing combination of flavors that is perfect right before bed!

This looks so divine! I love all natural sugar scrubs that are vanilla scented!!! A must try!
I never knew sugar scrub was so easy to make! What a great idea! I also have lots of teas, this would be a fun project to make with my daughter, I bet she’d love using it in the tub too. Thanks for the great idea.
You can use all sorts of teas for this project! Have fun!
Oh that sounds amazing. Chamomile is one of my favorite ways to relax!
I love making scrubs for various gifts throughout the year- I love the idea of using tea IN the scrub and gifting it with the scrub even more. This sounds perfectly indulgent after all the holiday craziness too!
We have a whole cabinet full of Twinings stuff, and it sure is the season at our house. Just made a cup for my (sick) wife an hour ago!
The sugar scrub sounds delightful and I really appreciate the review. I didn’t know Twining had fair trade products!
I didn’t know they made an Organic Green Tea with Jasmine tea. I’ll have to look for it and try your recipe, thanks!
Glad to help! I always love finding new organic teas!
