I am always looking for high protein snack ideas to help balance my blood sugar. While carbohydrates give an immediate boost to blood sugar levels, they quickly plummet again if you don’t have some protein to go along with it. High protein snack ideas include things like nuts, seeds, low fat dairy products and eggs which are all tasty ways to boost your protein intake. We go through a lot of eggs in my house but there are only so many ways to cook them in a week before you get really tired of them. Scrambled, fried, hard boiled or poached on a piece of whole wheat toast…eggs are a great source of protein! Up until now, I have never really considered adding eggs into a smoothie recipe because the whole ‘raw egg thing’ kindof makes me a bit squeamish. But, I recently had the chance to try out All Whites 100% Liquid Egg Whites and I think I have found a great new source of protein.
AllWhites® 100% liquid egg whites is a convenient, fat-free, cholesterol-free and low-calorie alternative to regular eggs. They are ideal when it comes to fueling your fitness goals and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. They’re a lean source of protein and can be used in any recipe that calls for eggs. AllWhites Egg Whites are 100% egg whites that have been pasteurized so you don’t have to worry about the whole ‘raw egg thing’ any more! This Green Glow Power Punch recipe was a very easy high protein snack that took only minutes to whip up in my blender. If you prefer a creamier texture, you can add 1/2 an avocado to the recipe. This will also boost the ‘good fat’ content of this high protein snack! If you want to try this high protein snack for yourself, don’t forget to grab the $0.50 Off AllWhites Egg Whites coupon first!
