This post about supporting breast cancer research is part of a sponsored conversation with Megabus.com. All opinions are my own.
Supporting breast cancer research is a cause near and dear to my heart. In the past 10 years I have seen several friends and family members fight this disease. I cannot imagine the physical and emotional struggle this puts on them and their loved ones. I have a friend struggling with this dreaded disease right now and I am truly amazed at the inner strength she has to keep on fighting. Breast cancer can strike anyone even if you have no family history of the disease. I went for a baseline mammogram when I turned 40 and encourage everyone to go for regular checkups. Early detection makes a huge difference when it comes to successful treatment. But, what’s equally as important as early detection is supporting breast cancer research to find a cure!
Having worked in cancer research when I was younger, I understand the funding needs that scientists have in order to find a cure. Without charities and organizations supporting breast cancer research, finding a cure will be next to impossible. Here is where YOU can help! Have you ever heard of Megabus.com? They offer express bus service to more than 100 cities across North America. Well, they are supporting breast cancer research by donating $1 for every ticket sold on January 19 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
To kick off this effort, breast cancer survivors and their loved ones will christen a new custom pink and BCRF branded Megabus which will be hitting the road this winter for a special trip to New York City. The bus will depart from the Megabus.com headquarters with company executives and BCRF leadership aboard and head to New York City to attend a taping of The View!
If supporting breast cancer research is important to you, consider buying a ticket on Megabus.com on January 19th! $1 of your purchase will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

I think it is so great that they are doing this for survivors. What a neat bus too!
