My Sponsor for this event:
Have you ever gone to the store and plunked down your hard earned money on a new green, organic, or natural product only to get it home and realize you really don’t like it very much? I did that a few weeks ago with a shampoo that barely created any ‘suds’ at all…I just couldn’t get used to the idea of shampoo with no bubbles! And that was an $8 bottle of shampoo! Had I gotten the chance to try a sample first, I would have saved myself a ton of money. If you like to try new green products but hate to waste money, then a Daily Dose of Green is a great new subscription service you may want to try! Haven’t heard of a Daily Dose of Green before? Here is a little bit about the company from their website:
Daily Dose Of Green is an exclusive sampling program providing our members the opportunity to try the very best, premium “Green” products before purchasing the full size versions. Our industry experts hand pick a collection of samples for you to try based on your individual preferences. You’ll discover brand new “Green” products every month!
Basically, a Daily Dose of Green is a subscription service that allows you to try new green products in small sizes before you shell out a ton of money on a product you don’t know if you will like. There are a couple of unique things about this program that you won’t find with other subscription services. With a Daily Dose of Green you can take a survey on your likes and dislikes, your family, age, etc and your box will be customized to your needs. The boxes contain at least $15 worth of products and they offer a rewards program to help save you even more. You can earn points for referring friends, filling out product surveys, and buying full sized products of the items you try from their website. So, if you like a product you receive in one of their boxes you don’t have to go hunting around the internet for it, you can buy it right from their website! Very convenient!
Becoming a member of a Daily Dose of Green is easy! Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Visit the web site to enroll and complete your personal profile.
Step 2: Receive your Daily Dose Of Green box containing at least 6 or more samples for you to try and enjoy.
Step 3: Tell them how you liked it! Your feedback will help them share products with you that best suit your needs AND you’ll earn Green Points!
They have a great selection of brands that participate in this program including such companies as Clean Well, Daddy Van’s, Nicobella and many other well known natural and organic companies.
Daily Dose of Green
For my review, I received a 2 month subscription to a Daily Dose of Green. Each box is beautifully packaged and includes a few ‘staples’ that everyone can enjoy. On top of those ‘staples’, all subscription boxes would also include products designed specifically towards the recipient’s needs based on the survey questions. There were a few products that I had already tried (and loved!) and some that were completely new to me.
I loved the mini bottle of olive oil. There is enough in there for several uses, which I really appreciate. Sometimes it takes a few tries before you decide if you like something or not. Another product I absolutely loved was Dr. Cleeangreen’s moisturizing hand sanitizer. The smell of cloves(?) was amazing and it was silky smooth. Honestly, I was impressed with the quality of all of the products I tried in my subscription boxes. I really liked the samples that gave me 3 or 4 uses so I could really get a feel for how they worked.
I found that the packages had a nice balance between ‘edible’ items (chocolate, Rise bar, etc), household items (laundry detergent), and personal care items like mineral makeup and facial products. Your package contents will vary slightly since the survey you take will design the boxes towards your own personal needs.
Overall, I think this is a great subscription service to help introduce you to new eco-friendly and natural products. You get to try things out before you buy and if you DO like it, just head over to the Daily Dose of Green website to buy the full sized product!
