The New Year is finally here and many people set out to make better-for-you resolutions such as quit smoking, start exercising, get organized and eat healthier. This year I challenge you to make a resolution that is not only good for YOU, but also good for our planet.   1. What about the ingredients used in their products. how about are they going to change them. Reducing plastic packaging is a great start but all the chemicals & toxins in the products affect our health, the environment to be sustainable many points must be looked at and changed.

    • I agree that fast food companies have a long way to go in terms of their overall nutrition. I do not recommend fast food as a steady part of anybody’s diet. Sometimes, however, we are tempted (or begged, or forced due to traveling) to pick up a fast food meal. I started researching because I was curious about which fast food chains were making more of an effort than others and which product would be the best to choose from their menu. I am a firm believer in moderation in all aspects of life.

  2. Yes, I love the tip to re-evaluate shopping habits. I’ve been trying to not only shop and buy less, but to re-use or re-purpose things I already have or don’t use. My latest “duh” moment is realizing that most of the paper I throw out can be recycled for use in my compost. So much better for the environment than going to the landfill!
